HELP US TO REDUCE OUR COSTS AND KEEP PRICES DOWN
You will all be aware of the extreme financial pressures on all pubs in the current economic climate from all of the recent media coverage on Business Rates, Minimum Wage, NI/PAYE and (for all of us) the massive energy costs. So please do all you can to help us to reduce our costs and therefore keep price rises to a minimum, all we ask is that as many of you as possible pay by cash. The cost of processing card payments was running at over £500 a month for us before this campaign.

Nestling at the bottom of the Blackdown Hills, just 1.5 miles from the centre of the County Town of Taunton, the Winchester Arms is a traditional pub situated in the beautiful village of Trull.
Whether you're after a light bite for lunch, a delicious dinner, a bed for the night, or just a quiet pint, you've found the right place!! In addition, our beer garden is a rural idyll with comfortable picnic tables to sit at as you listen to the bird song and the adjacent babbling brook!
We pride ourselves in providing a good range of well-kept real ales, ciders and lagers and a wide selection of wines, as recognised by our recent award from Somerset CAMRA. We serve traditional homemade meals and our Specials Board always contains some mouth-watering options.

We are proving to be extremely popular at the moment but there is now a trend for a significant number of people to come along without booking in advance. Please bear in mind that we are a small pub with a small kitchen and we do our best to space out bookings so that customers receive the best possible service. There is a finite limit on the number of meals that we can produce in a session as everything is home cooked so takes that bit longer to prepare.
