Dog Friendly

We love to welcome dogs to the Winchester Arms, our canine friends are welcome to join us in the Bar and also in our Beer Garden, unfortunately we cannot allow dogs in the Restaurant.  All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times for everyone's health, safety and enjoyment and must not go on the furniture.  (Also, please take your dog poo bags home with you, empty or full.)

Pub and Restaurant  (Takeaway Service available - has to be pre-booked)

We serve food in a relaxed atmosphere.  Our chefs, led by Wendy, go to great lengths to source local produce, fresh fish, meats and cheeses.  All our meals are homemade and our delicious desserts, if you can find room, are definitely worth squeezing in!

We offer a casual lunch menu and a restaurant menu, lunch is served from Monday to Saturday between 12pm & 2pm whilst evening meals are served from 6pm - 8:45pm, again from Monday to Saturday.  We also offer a range of traditional dishes and fresh fish on our daily specials board. On Sundays we serve a plated Sunday Roast Dinner between 12pm & 2.30pm for which booking is essential - there is no food served on a Sunday evening.

You'll be spoilt for choice with a wide selection of carefully chosen wines, there are always three or four real ales from the South West of England to choose from as well as a grand choice of local ciders.

Relax in our bar or lounge, on a chilly winter's evening you can sit in comfort on our bench seating whilst during the summer you can unwind in our stream side gardens which are at their best on a peaceful summer's evening.

Accommodation   

We can offer accommodation for visiting friends, family for just a short break or holiday.  (Sorry, we do not allow pets in our B&B rooms)

We have five comfortable bedrooms (single, double, twin or family) all with digital TV's tea and coffee making facilities and two with en-suite facilities.  All are very comfortable! 

It is well worth staying just for our traditional English Breakfast with local bacon and sausages and our home-made preserves.  Please see our B&B page for more information.

Events and Functions and our Beer, Cider & Music Festival

In the summer we often hold BBQ's and evenings of entertainment on the decking in the gardens. To see what's on and what's coming up follow us on Facebook or Twitter. 

PARTIES - We have accepted bookings for private parties in our Beer Garden where people have booked a band to entertain their private guests.  We would be happy to discuss such events with you, just contact us on 01823 284723   

WAKES  -  We regularly host Life Celebrations or Wakes and would discuss your special requirements for such occasions.  

SKITTLE  ALLEY  - Why not arrange a skittles evening in our private, fully refurbished, skittle alley?  We can provide food for your function if you require. 

DECKING  AREA  and  SHELTER  in  our  BEER  GARDEN - We have hosted private parties with catering and music as required, in such instances as this we provide you with your own area for your party
